Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. I cant see my supervisor on my Leave application / My supervisor is not the correct one
Ans. PAUSE. Do not submit the request. Please reach out to HR immediately to update your Supervisor / Only HR can update Supervisor

Q2. Will my Supervisor know I have submitted the request, Will they get an alert..?
Ans. As for now NO. You have to inform them that you have submitted the request so that they can approve
        We are working on modalities of alerts to streamline the process

Q3. I don’t have access to a computer
Ans. Please liaise with your supervisor for access with the nearest computer unit available.

Q4. What if I forget my password?
Ans. Please liasie with HR to reset your password. Please Note you are Strongly advised to change your password immediately

Q5. Can I apply for leave in arrears / like leave taken before the Online system?
Ans. Yes, but only in the current year.

Q6. What if I have already taken leave at the beginning of the year on the leave card
Ans. Apply for it in the system so it reflects. your manager will approve it. If you don’t apply, HR will reduce your eligible leave days by the number already taken

Q7. What if I carried over leave days from last year,
Ans. Please liaise with Hr and send an email requesting them to update the carried over leave entitlement as per company policy

Q8. Can staff apply or another staff .
Ans
. It is not recommended. Staff MUST apply for themselves. 

Q9. What about sick Leave, Maternity Leave, or Paternity Leave..?
Ans. Present your request to HR with Evidence and HR will allocate you the Leave to apply

Q10. What if My Supervisor does not approve before I go on leave..?
Ans. Before you apply, agree with your Supervisor that you are going on leave, then apply.  if Supervisor does not approve, when the day for leave comes, please take your leave. The supervisor can even approve later

Q11. What if Supervisor rejects leave after I have already gone
Ans. He has to discuss with you to apply for another.

Q12. What if i change my mind and don’t want to go on leave after I have applied
Ans. Discuss with your Supervisor before they approve so that they can reject the leave

Q13. What if Supervisor has already approved and we change our mind that i should not go
Ans. Liaise with HR and ICT for support

Q14. What if my supervisor is on leave..?
Ans. Please liaise with HR before submitting the request to be assigned a Temporary supervisor.

Q15. What if after my leave has been approved, and The Govt. declares a public holiday in between my leave
Ans. Liaise with HR to update your leave entitlement

  • For Team Leaders, Managers and Supervisors:
    • Ensure you confirm days applied for by subordinate staff before approving
    • Ensure you have agreed on the days applied for with the subordinate
    • In case subordinate changes their mind, kindly agree on an alternative leave day to be applied before rejecting the previously applied leave
    • When Rejecting leave, Ensure to Add details of why you are rejecting and also discuss and inform your staff
    • Remember As Managers and Team Leaders, you are responsible for Leave liability of your team. As a KPI
